2 lbs. ground beef
15 mozzarella balls
1 red onion minced
2 jalapenos minced
3 tbsp breadcrumbs
3 tbsp salt
3 tbsp ground pepper
3 tbsp garlic powder
1 tsp chili powder
½ tsp cumin
Preheat grill to 225 degrees.
In a large bowl, add in ground beef, jalapenos, red onion, breadcrumbs, and eggs.
Mix completely, then add in salt, pepper, garlic powder, chili powder, and cumin.
Make 15 medium sized meatballs. Press a mozzarella ball into each one, then close the meat around the cheese.
Brush your favorite barbecue sauce to cover each meatball. We use Croix Valley BBQ Sauce.
Place the meatballs on your smoker at 225 degrees for 1.5 hours.
After they have received some smoke, turn the grill up to 350 for 15 minutes.
Remove from grill and serve with more BBQ sauce.
